Journalist & Food Writer
Barbara Collins worked as a reporter and producer at BBC Northern Ireland for 16 years before setting up her own company in 2015. She is based in Galway, Ireland. She is a member of the UK and Irish Guilds of Food Writers. She writes for Taste of Ulster/Food NI. Their guidebooks, which she authors, won a Best of the Best Gourmand World Cookbook Award at Frankfurt in 2015. She also writes for the Farmers Guardian, the Irish News Weekend Travel section and contributes to BBC Countryfile magazine and Georgina Campbell’s e-zine. She does a weekly cookery column for River Media group which includes Derry Now, Donegal Now and Kildare Now.

Barbara is the Presenter/Producer of the Chef’s Table on Galway Bay FM- a six part radio panel show.
Her experience and knowledge of the agri-food industry north and south has led to her taking on Intertrade Ireland consultancy work.
